Install Workspace Apps on Your Computer

For quicker access, you can install many Google Workspace apps (like Gmail, Calendar, Drive) directly onto your computer. They will behave like native applications.

How to Install (using Google Chrome):

  1. Open the Google Workspace app you want to install (e.g., mail.google.com, calendar.google.com) in Google Chrome.
  2. Once the app has loaded, look at the right side of the address bar. You should see an icon that looks like a computer screen with a downward arrow, or three vertical dots (More menu).
Look for: 🖥️ Install or then "Install [App Name]..."
  3. Click this "Install" icon or find "Install [App Name]..." in the More menu.
  4. A prompt will appear asking if you want to install the app. Click **Install**.
  5. The app will be installed, and you should find its icon on your desktop, in your Start Menu (Windows), or Launchpad (Mac). You can then launch it like any other application.

Note: The exact icon and menu wording might vary slightly depending on your Chrome version and operating system. This feature creates a Progressive Web App (PWA).
